Queen and Adam Lambert kicked off festivities at the Platinum Party at the Palace tonight.
The celebrations began with the famous rock band performing their hit track We Will Rock You as they started the celebrations for the monarch's Platinum Jubilee - and Her Majesty even got involved in a sweet sketch with Paddington Bear.
As the group began the show, 20 years after Brian May famously played the guitar on the rooftop of Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth II herself even got involved and was seen tapping her tea spoon against the cup to the We Will Rock You beat.
Fans tuning into the show were thrilled to see the Queen and Paddington Bear using a spoon to tap out the beat on a China teacup whilst The Corps of Drums from the Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines and the band themselves began the song on stage.
Outside, surrounding the main stage, eager fans who had gathered into Buckingham Palace, The Mall and the Royal Parks all joined in in unison as everyone got involved in the start of the concert.
Viewers tuning into the show from home took to Twitter to share their excitement at the Queen's starring role.
"This is British humour in 1 perfect sketch and I adore it. Our Queen surprising the world again! #partyatthepalace," one wrote, as a second added: "This is hilarious. Good for the Queen! #partyatthepalace."
A third added: "I bloomin loved that skit with the Queen and Paddington #partyatthepalace."
The Queen is missing from the event itself, but Prince William and Kate Middleton are present alongside their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, whilst there is also a long list of other royals there too.
Speaking before the show, Adam described it as very "surreal" to be performing at the event.
"It’s wild. We’re on tour right now so we’re ready to go, we’re very warm and it always feels great to be a guest of Brian and Roger on the stages around the world. And now to be a guest of the United Kingdom for the Jubilee, it’s a huge honour," he said.
"What I’ve learned about the Queen, (is) what an impressive lady, what a graceful and powerful presence in this country. I’m thrilled. As I was on stage, I realised I was in the gate of the palace and thought this is definitely the most surreal thing I have done."
