A man has suffered an injury at a Brisbane courthouse, delaying his sentencing for a string of offences including manslaughter after a father of three was fatally shot.

An ambulance was called to Brisbane's Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law on Monday after Clayton David Backman suffered an injury in his holding area.
