A man is being questioned over the death of a woman who was shot in the head at home on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Police say the 25-year-old was shot during a loud argument at a home on Coolum St, at Dicky Beach, about 9.30am on Friday.
She was dropped off at Caloundra Base Hospital with a severe gunshot wound to her head and died later from her injuries.
Detectives pulled over and arrested a 30-year-old man driving in Sippy Downs about 3.30pm on Friday.
"He was taken into custody without incident and is currently assisting with investigations," police said in a statement on Friday night.
Detectives are also questioning a 58-year-old man, who's not under arrest, who dropped the woman off at the hospital.
They said another woman, who owned the house where the shooting happened, told investigators the arrested man and the dead woman had been visiting her.
"The man and woman were known to each other however preliminary investigations suggest this is not a domestic related incident," police added.
Detectives have urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
