Qatar hints at progress in Gaza truce talks as UN urges lifting of blockade

Qatar says there has been “a bit of progress” in the talks aimed at securing a new truce in Israel’s war on Gaza as the United Nations makes an urgent appeal for Israel to lift the “total and complete blockade” of the bombarded and besieged Palestinian territory.

Medical sources told Al Jazeera that at least 50 people have been killed Sunday in Israeli attacks in several areas in Gaza since dawn.
