Nicholas Brandram, the HSBC banker once arrested as the suspected 'Putney Pusher', has died before facing any charge, leaving one of Britain's most-watched unsolved cases in limbo nine years after a woman was shoved into the path of a bus.
Brandram, 44, was found unresponsive at his home in Chiswick, west London, at about 7:12pm on Tuesday 15 September. Officers and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The Metropolitan Police said the death was being treated as unexpected but not suspicious, and that a file would be prepared for the coroner.
