Putin in Iran for summit overshadowed by Ukraine war

Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei Tuesday urged strengthened energy co-operation with Moscow in a meeting with Vladimir Putin after Russia's president arrived in Tehran for a three-way summit on the Syria war. 

Putin travelled abroad for only the second time since ordering Russia's invasion of Ukraine in order to attend the gathering that also involves Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
