Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz made a phone call to Russian President Vladimir Putin after the Kingdom succeeded in arranging the freeing of 10 prisoners of different nationalities as part of a prisoner release between Moscow and Kyiv, the Saudi Press Agency reported Thursday.
Putin thanked the Crown Prince for his active and distinguished contribution to the success of the prisoner swap, SPA said.
The Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom was ready to make all good offices and support all efforts aimed at reaching a political solution to the crisis.
Putin also hailed the Kingdom's accession - as a dialogue partner - to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, stressing the SCO members' aspiration for the Kingdom's active contribution to its work.
Aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields were also discussed during the phone conversation, SPA added.
