Pupil attendance up but schools ‘at breaking point’ over Covid, say leaders

Pupil absences from school for coronavirus-related reasons have fallen over the past fortnight, the latest Government data shows.

In total, 2.2% of pupils were off school for Covid-related reasons on March 31, down from 2.5% on March 17.
