Punjab: Private bank employee found 'murdered' in Samrala of Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Police on Monday booked an unidentified accused for a murder after the body of a youth was found in a field in Salaudi village of Samrala town in Punjab's Ludhiana district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Ranjodh Singh, 25, of Manki village who worked in a private bank in Khanna.

Maluk Singh, father of the deceased, told cops that he was called by an acquaintance on Sunday and he had been waiting for his son all night but he did not return home.

He added that his body was found lying in a maize field at nearby village Salaudi on Monday morning.

The family members told police that their son had bruises on his body.

The owner of the farm informed the Samrala police after seeing the body lying in his field.
