Punjab: Ludhiana reports 16 Covid-19 cases, two deaths

LUDHIANA: Two persons died of Covid-19 whereas 16 persons tested positive for the disease in Ludhiana on Tuesday.

A day before, five persons had tested positive for Covid-19 and there was no death due to disease in the district.

Health department officials said that as two covid related deaths happened in Ludhiana on Tuesday, the total number of deaths in the district increased to 3,016 whereas the number of deaths of outer districts/state in Ludhiana Hospitals were 1140.

Health department said that till date 3901334 suspects have been tested for Covid in Ludhiana District. It added that thirteen persons from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid whereas three from outer districts/states was found to be infected with Virus here on Tuesday.

Local health department officials said that till Tuesday the total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 113353 whereas with the number of cases from outer districts/states were 15246.
