4,358 constables to be hired soon, says Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann

CHANDIGARH: Punjab government is set to recruit 4,358 police constables after the procedure for their medical exam and verification is completed. “I am happy to inform that today our government has completed the results of the recruitment examination of 4,358 constables of Punjab Police. Appointment letters will be distributed to all selected candidates soon after medical examination and verification,” chief minister Bhagwant Mann tweeted on Friday.

There had been an alleged delay in the completion of recruitment process of candidates who had successfully cleared the examination for police constables. The aspirants had been protesting in Sangrur, demanding appointment letters be issued to them as they had been waiting for the recruitment since 2021.
