CHANDIGARH: BJP will carry out protests on Monday against rising crime in Punjab, said the party’s state president, Ashwani Sharma, on Sunday.
He said chief minister Bhagwant Mann had asked votes from the people with the promise of making the state “rangla (colourful)”.
“However, people are living in fear as a number of murders, including those of celebrities and renowned persons, have taken place in Punjab after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power,” said Sharma. “Is it your Rangla Punjab where an international player is murdered? Is it your Rangla Punjab where famous singer Sidhu Moose Wala is murdered? Is it your Rangla Punjab that ab AAP councillor’s son murders a person in Amritsar?” Sharma said in a dig at the CM.
