Punjab: AAP govt reconstitutes SIT probing drugs charges against SAD leader Bikram Majithia

SIT Punjab Bikram Singh Majithia Aam Aadmi Party CHANDIGARH Shiromani Akali Dal

CHANDIGARH: After the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) government in Punjab, the state police have reconstituted the special investigation team(SIT) probing the charges in the drugs case against former cabinet minister and Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia.

The new 5-member SIT would be headed by AIG (crime) Gursharan Singh Sandhu. Other members of the SIT are AIG Rahul S, AIG Ranjit Singh Dhillon, DSP Raghuvir Singh and DSP Amarpreet Singh. It is learnt that the senior police officers were not satisfied with the investigation and pace of work of this previous SIT headed by AIG Balraj Singh.
