BATHINDA: AAP workers who had been protesting outside the residence of Punjab minister Baljit Kaur in Malout since Sunday, finally ended their protest on Monday afternoon, after the latter promised them a meeting with the party’s high command within 10 days.
However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also suspended three office-bearers of its Malout unit who were behind the protest by terming their action of leading the protest as “anti-party”. The party said it seemed its Malout block president Rajiv Uppal, and youth wing secretaries Sahil Monga and Gurmail Singh undertook the protest at the behest of opposition parties.
