PUNE: Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Dilip Mhaisekar on Thursday said a notification regarding the formation of a new regional authorisation committee for organ transplant would be issued in the next two days, enabling the processing of transplant applications in Pune itself.
"The earlier regional authorisation committee, which was placed under suspension after the kidney transplant row at the Ruby Hall Clinic, has now been formally dissolved on the recommendation of separate inquiry panels set up by the office of the DMER and the state director of health services (DHS)," Mhaisekar told TOI.
