MUMBAI: After a remand hearing that took three dates, a special CBI court on Tuesday remanded Pune businessman Avinash Bhosale to CBI custody till June 8.
Bhosale was arrested last week and his remand plea was kept pending as his defence lawyer made a plea submitting his arrest was illegal. The plea was rejected on Tuesday after which the court pronounced the remand order. "CBI is permitted to take the accused outside Mumbai or state of Maharashtra, if required for purpose of the investigation," special judge DP Shingade said.
