Pune: 60-year-old man found murdered in Moshi

PUNE: The Bhosari MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) Police is investigating the murder of a 60-year-old man whose body was found at an isolated place in Moshi area in Pune on Monday.

The police identified the deceased as Suresh Kale (of Moshi) whose son Ashish (26) of Chakan has filed a complaint with the police.

Inspector Pradip Patil of the Bhosari MIDC police told TOI that Kale's body was found on an open plot near Moshi toll post.

"When we reached there, we found that there were no clothes on the body. There were injury marks on the body. We found nothing at the spot, which would help us to ascertain the man's identity," Patil said.

He said that while "questioning" in the locality, one man informed the police about the victim's son.

"We summoned his son, who identified the man as Suresh Kale. His son also told us that his father was not staying with the family for the last eight years," Patil said.

He said that Kale was working as a daily-wage worker and was homeless.

"Our probe is on," Patil said.
