PUNE: The Pune police crime branch on Tuesday arrested three men on the charge of brutally assaulting a 26-year-old man with sharp weapons to death over a previous dispute near the PMPML bus depot of the Bhekrainagar on the night of May 30.
Police identified the victim as Mangesh Shingade (26) from Bhekrainagar. The victim's uncle, Raju Shingade (53), had registered a complaint with the Hadapsar police.
Senior inspector Hemant Patil from crime branch (unit V) said, "The CCTV cameras around the crime scene had captured images of three men assaulting Shingade with sharp weapons. While conducting an investigation, we established the identity of the assailants and took them into custody from the Loni toll naka."
