Delighted John Collins insists Celtic wouldn't get the value for money in Europe they have snapped up in the J-League.
A full house at Parkhead saw Ange Postecoglou 's side burst out of cold storage as the winter break came to an with a win over Hibs.
Daizen Maeda and Josip Juranoivic got the goals with new recruit Reo Hatate shining at Celtic Park.
The displays from the new additions sparked a big reaction from Celtic TV pundits John Hartson and Collins as they look to dethrone champions Rangers.
Collins said: "You have got to say well done the manager. He knows exactly what he's looking for.
"He knows Kyogo and has gone back to the same market.
"It's a good mentality, good footballers, and the board will be delighted; good value for money.
"You don't get these quality signings in Europe for these prices. All credit to the club and of course the manager."
Fellow pundit Hartson believes the addition of Kyogo Furuhuashi has been a vital bargaining chip for the manager when going to the board.
He added: “The key is trust in the manager. Getting the funds from the board. The board believe in the manager and that he is going to bring the right type of manager in.
"On the strength of how well Kyogo has done he can go to the board and say I know the J-League and the market. He will have friends and contacts.
"They have allowed him to bring in three Japanese internationals. They all look really fine players. We don’t know how long term they will go, so credit to the board.
"They have backed the manager and I think Kyogo gives the manager the extra bit of strength when he goes to the hierarchy. "
