The summer transfer window has barely closed, but already rumours have surfaced about the business Nottingham Forest could do in January.
Last month, the Reds were linked with midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, with Premier League rivals Newcastle United and AC Monza also said to be keen. The Chelsea man is midway through a two-year loan at AC Milan but could soon be on the move again.
Fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned side Olympiacos are now eyeing up Bakayoko, according to Greek website SDNA. And they claim the 28-year-old could spend four months in Greece, before linking up with Forest in January.

Marinakis praise
Pundit Simon Jordan has praised Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis for his show of ambition.
The Greek has bankrolled a significant spending spree at the City Ground this summer, following the Reds’ promotion to the Premier League. Twenty-one additions were made during the transfer window, with free agent full-back Serge Aurier likely to become signing number 22.
Marinakis has made clear he wants to build on the success of last season, with Forest keen to establish themselves in the top-flight. And former Crystal Palace chief Jordan says the shipping magnate has backed up his words by splashing the cash.
He told talkSPORT: “So, let me get this right, the only people who are allowed to have ambition are players and managers?! But woe betide an owner that has ambition?!
Transfer 'offer'
Club president Angel Haro has spoken about Alex Moreno's decision to remain at Real Betis, amid interest from Nottingham Forest this summer.
The left-back was on the Reds’ radar as they put together a squad ready for the challenge of the Premier League, with suggestions a medical was set to be scheduled. But early last month, he publicly spoke about rejecting an offer and opting to stay in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Estadio Deportivo report Moreno “had a foot and a half in Nottingham Forest, but decided to stay”. And an interview with Haro details how Betis would have gained only around 1m euros in their salary limit, which would have made it difficult to find a replacement of equal quality to Moreno.
"I don't regret that he didn't leave,” Haro said. “It was a low offer. The limit he opened up for us was minuscule, one million euros.
On the move
Former Nottingham Forest winger Philip Zinckernagel is set to leave Olympiacos after only two-and-a-half months at the club.
The winger made 50 appearances for the Reds last season and played a starring role in Steve Cooper's side's promotion to the Premier League with six goals and seven assists after joining on loan from Watford. However, the 27-year-old then signed for Evangelos Marinakis-owned Olympiacos for an initial payment of €2million.
Zinckernagel has only started one of Olympiacos' opening three games of the 2022/23 Super League fixtures, but featured in all of their Champions League and Europa League qualifiers. However, he is now set to leave the Greek side on loan.
