Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie has called Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope's error for Germany's third goal against England 'an absolute blooper' after the Three Lions came back from 2-0 down to draw 3-3.
England fell 2-0 down after goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Kai Havertz but Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Harry Kane managed to turn the game around before Pope fumbled a long-range Serge Gnabry shot in the path of Havertz who made the score 3-3.
Hendrie made 308 appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League from 1994 to 2007 and made a single senior appearance for the Three Lions in 1998 as a late substitute against Czech Republic.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Hendrie gave his views on the match and zeroed in on Pope's mistake as the reason England didn't win the match after making their comeback.
"I feel for [Nick] Pope but... it's terrible. I think it's got to [be down to a lapse in concentration late on in the game], it really has. He hasn't been at his best for me tonight, I think at times he's kicked the ball out of play, he's taken too long on the ball.
"I know it's a difficult one for goalkeepers because the ball bounces, it comes off the surface in front of him but it's one of them - he has to catch it. That's a routine save for a goalkeeper and it's an absolute blooper for England, it really is... and I'm gutted."
