Former Premier League footballer and Norwegian television pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft has apologised for his foul-mouthed rant on live TV after Leeds United lost 6-1 to Liverpool on Monday night. The 56-year-old, who played for Swindon Town, Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley in the mid-to-late 1990's, is a Whites fan and has been since the age of eight.
But Fjortoft was angered by what he saw earlier this week, with Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez all providing goals for Jurgen Klopp's side.
At halftime, Fjortoft was furious with the display the players had put on in the first half, and called them out for being 'toothless' alongside Elland Road alumni Eirik Bakke.

When translated to English, Fjortoft says to Bakke: "What a toothless bunch. This is Leeds! This is Johnny Giles, Billy Bremner, David Batty, Eirik Bakke! This is f*****g Dirty Leeds! What is happening?!"
The Norwegian took to Twitter to apologise for his language, but continued to berate the players, claiming they don't have any passion to play for the club.
He wrote: "Sorry for my language! But I can’t watch a team not battling for the club, the fans and themselves."
