Puca Festival to make return for Halloween 2023

Puca Festival will be returning to Meath this October for Halloween 2023.

The festival will be celebrating Ireland as the birth place of Halloween and invites people to experience this authentic, immersive, and otherworldly festival. Puca will take place in two main festival hubs in Trim and Athboy in Meath from Friday October 27 to Tuesday October 31.

Director of Product Development at Failte Ireland Orla Carroll said: “Failte Ireland is pleased to announce the return of Puca Festival this October which celebrates Ireland as the birthplace of Halloween. Meath and the wider Ireland’s Ancient East region have so much to offer, and Púca celebrates this region’s unique heritage and culture while offering a fantastic visitor experience."

The opening procession will take place on October 28 in the heritage town of Trim and its castle grounds. This all-new procession will blend outdoor theatre, street performance and music in a wild celebration of Samhain lore, nature, ancestry and the looming darkness.
