Public warned to 'stay away' from missing Scot believed to have travelled to England

Members of the public have been warned to steer clear of a missing man who vanished in Glasgow more than a week ago.

Christopher Wright was last seen at 8am on Tuesday, July 19, on East Campbell Street in. Police believe the 45-year-old may have traveled south of the border to Blackpool in Lancashire.

Officers investigating his disappearance have urged members of the public not to approach him.

They have, however, asked for anybody who may have seen him to report their sightings to police immediately.

Christopher is described as being white, around 5ft 9in tall, with ginger/greying hair and has a beard. When he vanished, he was wearing a black North Face jacket, black trousers and dark hiking shoes.

DI Barrie Kirkland said: “We want to trace Christopher as quickly as possible and I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken to him since Tuesday, July 19. The public should not approach him but should report any sightings to Police Scotland immediately.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference 2873 of 19 July, or speak to any officer.”
