Public warned 'do not approach' missing man last seen in South Lanarkshire

MEMBERS of the public have been warned not to approach a man reported missing in South Lanarkshire.

Paul Callaghan, 33, has been reported missing from the Eaglesham Road area of East Kilbride.

He was last seen in the Oak Avenue area of East Kilbride at approximately 8.22pm on Thursday, August 18, police said.

Paul is described as being around 5 foot 9 inches tall, of medium build, bald and clean shaven.

When last seen he was wearing a grey tracksuit and has a black rucksack.

Officers are carrying out extensive searches and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace him.

However, the public has been advised not to approach him but to instead contact police immediately if they see him.

Anyone who knows of his present whereabouts has been urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, or in an emergency on 999, quoting incident number 2806 of Thursday, August 13.

Information can also be passed via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
