Super Wild Card Weekend to begin the 2023 NFL playoffs was eventful, dramatic, unthinkable and all of the above. But after weeding out the pretenders less than a week ago, the contenders are still standing after the dust settled, and this Saturday’s opening to the divisional round is when things start to get serious.
To begin the round, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will host Trevor Lawrence’s Jacksonville Jaguars at Arrowhead (GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium).
The AFC’s top-seeded Chiefs are 9.5-point favorites at BetMGM, where they’re receiving 61 percent of bets and 75 percent of the money, according to John Ewing.

Bettors also expect Travis Etienne and Christian Kirk to do their job in the receiving game. The Jaguars will need those two, plus a handful of others, to overachieve on Saturday if they want to be the team that puts out the AFC’s No. 1 seed in the divisional round for a second-straight season.
