Public bodies named and shamed over Freedom of Information request failings

Five public bodies have been named and shamed for failures to meet expected standards in responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOI) requests.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) revealed on Thursday its recent action against the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Environment Agency, the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Liverpool City Council and Tower Hamlets Council.
