A frustrated pub owner has defended their highly rated country pub on Tripadvisor by posting a scathing reply to an angry diner saying, "We are all really happy that you will never be returning". The fuming customer who dined at the pub last month - which is traditionally one of the busiest periods in hospitality - had a number of gripes when he dined at The Clickham Inn near Penrith.
The diner with a Tripadvisor profile called John B complained about "rude" service and wasn't happy about a "dog barking at his table begging for food" at the dog-friendly country pub. The Clickham Inn has 783 Tripadvisor reviews with an average rating of five stars.
This is the highest rating and it is also rated number two out of 95 eateries in Penrith. Diner John made his thoughts known by leaving a one-star review on Tripadvisor, reports Manchester Evening News.
