Pubs will be allowed to extend their opening times as part of the Jubilee celebrations.
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee kicks off this week with events expected across the United Kingdom. It will also usher in a four day weekend starting Thursday, June 2.
Those looking to enjoy the festivities will be able to do so in style as the bank holiday weekend will mean a big shift for drinkers and party-goers. To celebrate the Jubilee, pub opening times have been extended.

From Thursday, June 2 to Saturday June 4 inclusive, pubs in England and Wales will be permitted to open for an extra two hours. This means that rather than having to close at 11pm, they’ll be able to remain open and serving until 1am.
The order to extend opening hours for pubs, clubs and bars during the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend was passed in April. Pubs in some parts of Scotland will also be allowed to open until 1am, though this will depend on local authority rules.
Pubs have strongly welcomed the decision to permit them to trade for longer hours over the four-day bank holiday weekend. The move comes after a difficult couple of years for the hospitality industry, with pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants forced to close for extended periods by the coronavirus pandemic.
Thousands of events will take place across the UK to mark the Platinum Jubilee. Organisers estimate that around 10 million people will attend street parties throughout the country, while the festivities at Buckingham Palace will include the Platinum Party at the Palace pop concert.
