A psychopath escort killer's message to an old friend admitting the evil murders of two women has been revealed.
The man claimed he was "disposing of something" to an old pal, as he called himself a "psychopath with a conscience" in the text messages.
Twisted builder Mark Brown murdered Leah Ware in May and Alexandra Morgan at a remote farm near St Leonards in East Sussex in November 2021. He met the women through a sex work website, the court was previously told.
He has today been sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term of 49 years for killing two escorts six months apart.
While Brown did not appear at Hove Crown Court, the shocking messages of him admitting to the murders have been revealed.
On June 13 2021, Brown sent a string of messages to an old school friend, Elizabeth Howard, outlining what he had done.
He made sure to skirt around the true meaning of the text, as he wrote: “I’m going to be very careful how I word this – it happened again, not very long ago when disposing of something.
"It’s a very unpleasant thing to do – an old oil drum, five litres of diesel, and hey presto, there’s not very much left.
"It gets hot, very hot, it glows almost white. The things I have done weigh heavily on my heart, on my head and my soul.
"A psychopath with a conscience – it’s a joke really.”
On February 1, 2022, Brown was charged with Ms Ware’s murder, where just days later, on February 4, he appeared at Lewes Crown Court charged with the murders of both women.
However, he pleaded not guilty to the murder of Ms Morgan but, after the discovery of her remains, admitted to destroying her body with fire – claiming she fell and died on the farm in an accident.
In fact, the double killer still refuses to tell the family of mum-of-three Ms Ware what he did with her body, despite a fresh plea by investigators on Thursday.
Then, on March 25, Brown denied Ms Ware’s murder.
After the trial began on October 17, at Hove Crown Court, a jury of 10 men and two women find Brown guilty of murder on December 1.
He was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 49 years as the hearing continued in his absence.
Speaking after the guilty verdicts, Libby Clark of the CPS said: "This is a tragic case where two women - Alex Morgan and Leah Ware - were murdered and treated with utter disregard and cruelty at the hands of Mark Brown."
