Psychology says people who just do the bare minimum at work aren’t necessarily lazy: What this behaviour reveals?

Psychology says people who just do the bare minimum at work aren’t necessarily lazy. Doing only the tasks listed in a job description can have different reasons. Some employees may feel burned out after long periods of work without enough recovery. Others may believe that extra effort does not lead to better pay, recognition or career growth. Some may also want stronger boundaries between their job and personal life. This behavior is often called quiet quitting or Act Your Wage. Psychology explains that workplace conditions, motivation, fairness and personal needs can influence how much effort an employee gives.
