A tiny comb sitting in a man's pocket can seem like an insignificant everyday object. Yet for someone who carries one everywhere, to work, restaurants, dates, weddings or even a quick trip to the store, it can become part of a much larger behavioral pattern.
Psychology says the habit may have less to do with the comb itself and more to do with grooming, self-presentation, preparedness and perceived control.
