Psychic shares the 'luckiest' baby names for 2023 as top picks match with celebrities

If you've got a baby on the way in 2023, chances are you'll want them to grow up with plenty of luck and opportunities to be successful in life.

And while their name alone can't promise anything, there are certain choices that are deemed "lucky" for a number of reasons.

That's according to psychic expert Inbaal Honigman, who has teamed up with Online Casinos and Forebears to delve into which baby names will bring the best fortune for your child in 2023, and why.

Topping the list for boys is Rafael as it's the baby name most associated with good luck. A whopping 3,160,411 people are given this worldwide which stems from the name of the angel of healing in the Bible.

Inbaal explained: "It's a wonderful name to pick for a life of healthy living, healthy relationships and healthy decision-making. The feminine version is Rafaella."

It was the highest ranked name in the whole study. Tennis legend Rafael Nadal is one great example of the name's success.

Then, the luckiest name for baby girls is Victoria. It means 'victory' in English, descending from a goddess of Roman mythology.

Explaining why the name is associated with good luck, Inbaal said: "Victoria is not subtle about its blessings. Sharing a name with the Roman Goddess of Victory, Victoria draws luck in the field of winning."

Various famous figures have embodied this name’s meaning such as Queen Victoria and her victorious rule, and Victoria Beckham with her successful career.

Second place for girls is the name Lakshmi, which can also be given to baby boys. There are 2,570,558 people worldwide sharing their name with the Hindu goddess of abundance and good fortune.

Inbaal says that since she is a figurehead of good luck, sharing a name with her will "inevitably" bring the same prosperity to your child's life.
