Chelsea are in advanced talks with PSV to sign Noni Madueke for a deal worth around £35million, football.london understands. The English winger will become the Blues' sixth signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of Benoit Badiashile and Mykhailo Mudryk.
Following the sale of Cody Gakpo to Liverpool earlier in January, it was understood that PSV were adamant they were not going to sell Madueke in the same window. However, a breakthrough has been made and Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal for the former Tottenham youngster.
football.london were told on Thursday that talks had intensified and Madueke was close to completing the switch to Stamford Bridge. It's expected that the 20-year-old will undergo a medical with the Blues, with him in line to make his debut next Friday against Fulham, should the appropriate paperwork not be completed before 12pm today (Friday) to face Liverpool tomorrow.
