PSV get Celtic VIP treatment with celebrity tour guide as guest drops cheeky Rangers quip

Ahead of this evening's Champions League play off at Ibrox, PSV Eindhoven's top brass, key sponsors and corporate guests are spending the day at Celtic Park.

Before facing Rangers tonight, the special guests have made their way to Parkhead for a specially organised tour of the stadium. The PSV VIPs were given the lowdown on all things Celtic by celebrity tour guide Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.

The former Dutch baller spent time with both sides during his playing days, enjoying two spells in Eindhoven on either side of a three year stint in Glasgow's east end. And he remains a hero among Celtic supporters, with a certain game during the 2007/08 campaign a particularly fond memory for the Parkhead faithful. Vennegoor netted a vital goal for Gordon Strachan's side who pulled off a truly remarkable comeback to keep hold of the league trophy for a third season in a row.

The striker made the move to Celtic in 2006 after departing Rangers' Champions League play-off opponents for £3.4million. During his time at the Hoops, he won a League and Cup double and it was his header at Tannadice in 2008 against Dundee United that clinched the 2007/08 title on the final day of the campaign. The forward was sold to Hull in 2009.

And now the former Netherlands international has turned his hand to tour guiding as he gave PSC club officials a backstage pass to Celtic Park, providing them with an insightful lesson into the club's history and successful, before joining them for some wining and dining in one of the club's restaurants.

Speaking to Scottish Express Sport, one corporate guest said: "I don't know if Rangers will like that we have gone to visit Celtic! It was a good trip and we learned a lot from Jan, who seems to know everything about Celtic. We had a very good meal there too and we were well looked after."

Vennegoor said: "It's always nice to come back to Glasgow because I spent three years here and I enjoyed taking the business guest on a tour of the stadium."
