Arsenal have been presented with an excellent chance to improve their squad depth in the summer thanks to Paris Saint-Germain. The Ligue 1 club have reportedly transfer-listed Leandro Paredes for a bargain fee.
According to French news outlet L’Equipe, the Parisian side wants to get rid of most of their Argentine players. The report goes on to say that Lionel Messi the club no longer counts on Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi, and Paredes.
Arsenal have reportedly taken interest in a deal for Paredes as according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gunners will face competition from Inter Milan for his signature. He could reportedly be available for as little as £8.3m, which would be an excellent opportunity to strengthen the depth at Arsenal.

Arsenal could be left short in midfield this summer, football.london understands that Roma are expected to make a fresh attempt to sign Granit Xhaka at the end of the season.
This will mean that Thomas Partey would be the only experienced midfielder in the team. Mohamed Elneny’s contract is set to expire in June and Albert Sambi Lokonga still needs time to mature.
Paredes would be an excellent signing by Arsenal and it is a deal they should be pursuing. The Gunners will need strengthening in the midfield position, and the Argentine would be an ideal candidate judging by the types of midfielders that Edu has been targeting ahead of next season, and the fact that he is available for such a bargain.
The midfielder has proved on an international and club stage that he would certainly improve Mikel Arteta’s midfield. He has won honors with PSG and won the Copa America with Argentina in the summer, where he played a major part.
Paredes has played 113 times for PSG and played for his country on 44 occasions. His experience would prove valuable to Arteta’s young side who still have a lot of growing to do.
Arsenal will have to strengthen in many departments ahead of next season, which will also correlate to a lot of money being spent. With Parades being available for just £8.3m, it will allow more financial space for the Gunners to invest in signing two strikers, an extra midfielder, and a full-back. With the Argentine international being available for so cheap, it is certainly a deal that Arteta should look to complete.
