Hugo Ekitike is not on the list of targets for PSG this summer according to reports in France. Le Parisien claims the Ligue 1 champions are focusing all their efforts into Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca.
The Sassuolo striker is being touted as a potential superstar of the future and is reportedly set to arrive in Paris next month. The move for Scamacca would rule out any interest in Newcastle United target Ekitike. The Magpies have been locked in talks with the young French forward for months, having originally agreed a deal to sign the striker back in January. Ekitike opted to continue his development in France before Eddie Howe's side re-entered negotiations this summer.

Reports earlier this week suggested that the Toon were ready to pull out of the deal, with Ekitike's representatives asking for ludicrous demands. However, other sections of the French media claim that a deal for Ekitike is simply on hold with no club in the driving seat.
Le Parisien say: "Inevitably, when you are barely 20 years old and have already scored ten goals in Ligue 1 (distributed in nine outings), three less than Neymar over the whole season, Europe quickly panics. Hugo Ekitike, the Reims striker , is followed by the biggest clubs. His name is associated with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG, among others, no less. But there is a catch. According to our information, the International U 20 (6 selections) does not appear in the list of potential recruits for the capital club. He is not tracked and does not belong to any of the series of five players lying on offense. In this sector, PSG is looking for three reinforcements, including Gianluca Scamacca , 23, the small or large (1.95 m) nugget from Sassuolo, whose file is almost complete for an arrival in July in Paris."
