The PlayStation 5's system menu has been filmed running on a PC, while a separate project, AnyPS5, reports support for nearly 96 per cent of the GPU shader instructions it tracks in its effort to bring PS5 software to Windows and Linux.

Kotaku reported on 6 October 2026 that footage shared by a Reddit user shows the console's menu interface, known as VSH, running through emulation. Separately, TweakTown reported that AnyPS5, a project for converting PS5 executables to run on Windows or Linux, supports 95.88 per cent of the GPU shader instructions it currently tracks.
