£4.5m-rated Rangers star set for Ibrox transfer exit amid summer of change

Turkish club Corum FK are on the brink of signing Rangers midfielder Mohamed Diomande.

The Ivorian, who has two years left on his contract, could leave Ibrox this summer as Derek McInnes reshapes his midfield.

The Rangers Review reports that Corum have shown keen interest in Diomande and are ready to pay a transfer fee of around £4.5 million.

Diomande's exit comes as McInnes has bolstered his midfield with the additions of Dan Neil, Cammy Devlin, and Vanja Dragojevic.

The Ivorian joined Rangers on a loan-to-buy basis from FC Nordsjaelland and has scored ten goals in 122 appearances for the club.

He featured in the draw against Dundee United and the defeat to Jagiellonia Bialystok this season. His final appearance for Rangers is set to be the defeat to Hibernian on Sunday afternoon.

McInnes addressed the transfer market situation after his team's 2-1 loss at Ibrox.

The boss is eager to strengthen his squad, particularly on both flanks and in central defence and left-back positions. McInnes said: "Clearly, we could do it with certain players in certain areas, helping us out.

"I do think the positives from today, I think big [Olwethu] Makhanya did really well for his first 90 minutes since the 29th of May.

"I think Daisuke [Yokota] is showing moments. Obviously, we're still trying to bring in another wide-right player as well, if we can, to share that burden with him.

"But having a natural player on that side and somebody who wants to play there, I think, will be key for us.

"So, it is important that we try and make signings, but the club has worked hard on that.

"I think it's important that we come out of the window as strong as we possibly can."
