Protests erupt in India over women’s safety after spate of alleged rape cases

Students participate in a protest march demanding police action and better safety for women following the alleged gang-rape of a girl in Delhi, India, on 23 September 2026 - (Reuters)

Justices JB Pardiwala and K Vinod Chandran said the incidents also pointed to a failure of public administration to ensure the safety of women.
