MOHALI: The Mohali Small Industries Welfare Society has pledged its support to former Punjab minister and Congress candidate from Mohali, Balbir Singh Sidhu in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
Addressing the gathering, Sidhu said the Congress government in Punjab had solved all problems of the small industry on a regular basis. “In Mohali, we are aware of the problems faced by micro industries. After forming government in Punjab, the Congress will again solve pending demands of small industries on priority,” he said.
He said that small industrial units mostly operated from rented accommodations and that he would constitute a society for the small industry to operate and get relief from hefty rent. “To sort out this problem, land was finalised at Saneta village two years ago but small scale industries did not accept the proposal and sought land in some nearby area and central places of the town.
