An investigation has been launched after a ferry ran aground in Orkney, leading the the evacuation of 60 passengers.
RNLI crews were scrambled to the incident on Saturday, May 29 after teams received a mayday call. Pentland Ferries, who run the vessel, MV Pentalina, say smoke was detected in the engine room before she became grounded off the village of St Margaret's Hope.
Sixty passengers, including three children and an infant, were evacuated from the ferry, as well as some of the crew. It was later refloated and moored at a nearby pier.
