A top Senate Republican released an investigation Tuesday that concluded Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti “likely knew or should have known” that a former top adviser was allegedly sexually harassing city employees, a finding that appears to contradict the mayor's assertion that he was unaware of any inappropriate behavior.
A 23-page report released by U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa said his office's investigation found it was “extremely unlikely” that the Democratic mayor, who was nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as ambassador to India, would not have been aware of the misconduct allegations against his former aide, Rick Jacobs.
