Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav & Abhishek Banerjee detained by police after INDIA bloc march to EC stopped

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Trinamool Congress leaders Derek O’Brien and Abhishek Banerjee, and other opposition leaders were detained on Tuesday after security personnel stopped an INDIA bloc march towards the Election Commission headquarters in New Delhi. The opposition MPs were demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation.

The MPs were stopped in front of the NITI Aayog office, on the stretch between NITI Aayog and Akashvani Bhavan leading towards the Election Commission headquarters.
