BHOPAL: Petrol pumps of private companies continued to remain closed in Bhopal on Monday as well despite directives of the district collector to keep the fuel pumps open even if they have to sell petrol and diesel at a higher price than the petrol pumps of public sector oil companies.
This despite the face that the ministry of petroleum and natural gas has issued a gazette notification making it mandatory for the private companies to keep their retail petrol/diesel outlets open. The notification dated June 17 seems to have been ignored in Madhya Pradesh.
