A prisoner was found dead in his cell after overdosing on a cocktail of drugs.
Steven Gunn died less than a year after being jailed for breaking into an East Kilbride house where he was caught in the act by residents.
An inquiry into the 41-year-old's death at HMP Addiewell heard he had taken unprescribed diazepam, phenazepam, alprazolam and mirtazapine shortly before he passed away in cell 26 in the jail's Lomond C wing. His body was discovered by prison officers unlocking cells and carrying out morning welfare checks, who received no response when they tried to rouse him from his bed.
