The Super Bowl is always a star-studded event with a glitzy half-time show and celebrities galore in the crowd.
And last year's event was even graced by royalty - as Prince Harry attended it in California alongside his cousin Princess Eugenie.
Eugenie appeared to become the first royal to visit him in the US since he and wife Meghan Markle moved there with their children after quitting the Firm in early 2020.
Harry and Meghan are known to have an icy relationship with many of the royals after their decision to step down from the Firm in 2020.
They have spoken out against them in their bombshell Oprah interview, in Harry's memoir Spare - and in a controversial Netflix series, which Eugenie actually appeared in.
And speaking at the time, royal expert and biographer Duncan Larcombe said that by Eugenie publicly supporting Harry at the Super Bowl, she was "breaking ranks" from the rest of the royals.
He told OK! : "The royals have stayed quite consistent and firm when it comes to Harry and Meghan, as we’ve seen.
“Eugenie is breaking ranks from the rest of the royals by being seen so publicly to endorse Harry and Meghan in their new life. It endorses what they said about the royals. No other member of the family would be seen dead anywhere near Harry and Meghan.
"There are those that think that Eugenie is Harry’s only hope of him being brought back in should things not work out in paradise, so at least he is talking to someone in the Royal Family. By seeing Eugenie there, it looks like the only link he still has with his family."
Last month, Eugenie shared a sweet family photograph of her son August kissing her bump to announce she is expecting her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank.
Buckingham Palace said the royal family is "delighted" and that August is "very much" looking forward to becoming a big brother.
The baby will be born 13th in line to the throne and he or she will be the first of the Queen’s great-grandchildren to be born since her death.
And according to royal expert and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward, Harry and Meghan would have been very much across Eugenie's news.
She told the Mirror: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been amongst the first to hear the news of Eugenie’s pregnancy.
"Meghan and Harry are close with Eugenie – and not only has she stayed with them in California, but they have been on holidays together before Harry’s marriage.
"If the Sussexes come to the coronation in May, there will be an added incentive to see Eugenie as by then it is doubtful if she will want to travel herself."
