Princess Charlotte's polite comment at Queen's funeral unveiled by lip reading expert

A lip reading expert has revealed the sweet comment Princess Charlotte made when she arrived at Westminster Abbey for the Queen’s funeral service today.

The seven-year-old, who is third in line to the throne, arrived with her brother Prince George, nine, and her mother the Princess of Wales. As they walked towards the building they were met by solemn members of the clergy whom they stopped to talk to briefly.

Lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman has managed to decipher Charlotte’s sweet response to the adults, OK! revealed. She is said to have replied: “Pleasure to meet you." Her older brother George politely said: "Good morning.” Later the nervous-looking princess was comforted by her mother as she entered Westminster Abbey.

The Princess of Wales was seen placing a tender hand on her daughter's shoulder as the pair exited the car and gave her a reassuring touch on the shoulder as the youngster nervously flipped her hair. As the young royals walked behind their great grandmother’s coffin, Charlotte held her hands clasped in front of her while George had his arms by his side.

The nine-year-old future king could be seen looking up at his father as they walked through the church, in procession behind the Queen's coffin as it was carried by the military bearer party. Later Charlotte seemed to share a moment with her uncle, Prince Harry, as they both attended the service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

During the service Charlotte sat next to her mum as well as the Sussexes. At one point, Charlotte was seen adjusting her hat before looking over at her uncle who briefly looked up and caught her eye and smiled at the princess.

Earlier, Meghan Markle was seen sharing a comforting smile with Princess Charlotte as the royal family left Westminster Abbey following the Queen's funeral. Recognising the distress the young royal must be in following the death of her great-grandmother , the Duchess of Sussex gave her niece a sweet grin when she gazed over her shoulder after exiting the building.

Princess Charlotte was one of the youngest members of the royal family to attend the late Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral alongside her older brother, Prince George. Their youngest sibling, Prince Louis , did not join his family in the procession or funeral today as at only four-years-old, he was likely presumed too young to attend.
