Emergency services have rushed to a crash on a Scots road after a pedestrian was hit by a bus this morning.
Police have closed Princes Street in Edinburgh to traffic following the incident as bus and tram routes have been affected by the collision.
Paramedics are currently at the scene but the extent of the victims injuries is not yet known.
Photographs show a large emergency presence on the busy street with at least three three police vehicles and an ambulance blocking off the road.
Road users are being urged to avoid the area and take an alternative route if possible.
A Police Scotland statement said: "Princes Street is currently closed to traffic following a collision between a bus and a pedestrian.
"Emergency services are at the scene.
"Road users are urged to avoid the area."
