Prince William slams' disgusting' photographer in privacy row on kids' bike ride

A leaked video has captured Prince William becoming aggravated by a photographer as he enjoyed a bike ride with his children.

The Duke of Cambridge accused the photographer of "stalking" his children before trying to contact his security team to tell them he had been in an "altercation" with the pap.

Prince William confronted the cameraman on a quiet country lane near his Anmer Hall home in Norfolk in January last year.

He calls the freelance photographer "outrageous" and "disgusting", adding: "Thanks for ruining our day."

The snapper claimed he came across the royals before deciding to stop, but Prince William accused him of "stalking around" and looking for him and his children.

The video, which was viewed over 20,000 times after it was shared over the weekend, has since been removed from YouTube.

Kensington Palace responded to the clip, uploaded over a year after it was filmed, by telling The Telegraph that the photographer was breaching the family's privacy.

Towards the start of the footage, the cameraman says: "I've just realised who it was, and I've just stopped", to which Prince William responds: "You didn't. You have been looking for us."

The photographer continues: "I promise you I've not been near your house."

The Duke later rages: "How dare you behave like you've done with my children. How dare you.

"You're stalking around looking for us and our children. I'm having a quiet bike ride with my children on a Saturday.

"You're outrageous. You're disgusting. You really are. How dare you behave like that."

He is then seen holding a phone to his ear while riding his bike, saying: "Yeah, I need you here. I've had an altercation with a photographer. He's filming me. I'm right next to him now. Thanks for ruining our day."

The cameraman says: "I think I saw you. I moved into the tower", to which the Duke replied: "You didn't. You knew exactly what you were doing."

It is not the first time that the Cambridges have faced down the press.

In 2017, France's Closer Magazine was ordered to pay 100,000 euros (£91,700) at a Paris court over a long-lens images of Kate sunbathing on a terrace after it was ruled they had breached her privacy.

Neither of the Royals attended any court sessions, but William presented statements attacking the paparazzi.

In one written in May, he said the impact of the topless photographs was "all the more painful" given the harassment linked to the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
